Membership Rates
The current annual membership fee is 30 EUROS, for one or two people living at the same address. Nursery Membership is 50 EUROS annually.
Being an international society, we are very aware of the difficulties that potential members in some countries around the world may have in paying small sums of money in a non-local currency. To facilitate membership for everyone, wherever they live, the Society offers a number of alternative methods for paying your membership fee, please see below.
Methods of Payment
PayPal
The Society provides payment via the online service, PayPal. Payment must be made in Euros, which means you will get whatever exchange rate is applicable on the day of your transaction. The system is simple, quick, and the administration fee charges to you by Paypal is, according the the tests we have made, typically no more than the cost of a postage stamp, between 1 and 2 EUROS. Details can be found by visiting our PayPal page.
Payment in Euros
The Society has a Euro bank account in Germany and you may make payment by bank transfer. In particular, German members can normally transfer from their account to the German account without additional costs. However conventional bank transfers across Europe can still be very expensive, with fees bearing no relation to the transferred amount. If you use this method please ensure that all bank charges are paid at source so that the Society receives the full amount due.
For security reasons, we do not publish our German Bank Account details in public forums such as the Internet. We would be pleased to provide them to you on request. Please email the Treasurer, Horst Weihrauch.
If you do not feel safe using a computer to manage your finances, you can send cash by post. We suggest it is sandwiched between two pieces of card and/or aluminium cooking foil. You should be aware, though, that there is an obvious security risk with this method and the I.Cl.S. cannot accept any responsible for lost payments.
Cheques may be acceptable but will be subject to a surcharge to cover additional costs. Please contact our Treasurer, Horst Weihrauch for further information BEFORE sending any payment.
