Golden Clematis Awards 2022
I am very pleased to announce that one Golden Clematis Award was proposed and accepted by the Constitutional General Meeting by Zoom in 2022. The winner was :-Roy Nunn

Citation
Roy and his wife, Angela, have been members of the Society for over 20 years and he deserves the Golden Clematis Award from both having rendered distinguished service to the study and culture of clematis and rendered notable service to the Society. Roy has been growing clematis for a long time and there are over 100 in their garden. Roy spends his time propogating and breeding clematis (such as C. "Advent Bells") and is enthusiastic to share his knowledge with others including by giving talks and lectures. He has written many articles for the Journal and nearly 30 Clematis of the Month descriptions for the web site. In 2011 Roy kindly took on the role of Treasurer of the Society. He implemented PayPal as a means for Members to be able to pay Membership Fees wherever you live. He registered the Society as an Unincororated Society, declared dormant to avoid UK Tax Liability. Roy prepares the annual accounts for our Auditors and deals with them. In addition, in 2015 Roy and Angela also organised a visit and meeting in the West Country, UK.
