Categories have been divided into Small-flowered and Large-flowered Cultivars. Selecting one or the other will offer you further options.
Small-flowered Cultivars are sub-divided into the following groupings:-
- Early Flowering
- Atragene (including Armandii and Cirrhosa)
- Forsteri (inc. Australian & New Zealand types)
- Montana
- Herbaceous (including Heracleifolia and Integrifolia)
- Viticella
- Late Flowering (including Flammula, Tangutica, Texensis, Viorna and Vitalba)
Large-flowered Cultivars are sub-divided into the following groupings:-
- Early Large-flowered
- Late Large-flowered
The Clematis Categories are based on the Horticultural Classification defined and used in the Royal Horticultural Society Clematis Register and Checklist 2002.
